Claris Emailer 1.0v3 Lite Updater: This update to the version of Claris Emailer that comes in the Apple Internet Connection Kit contains important fixes for users of Apple's new System 7.5 Update 2.0 and Open Transport. Also available for the full version of Claris Emailer.
Claris FileMaker CGI: This freeware CGI by Kevin Jundt, Claris Technical Support Web Engineer, demonstrates how to publish your FileMaker 3.0 database on the World Wide Web using WebSTAR. It provides basic support for finding and adding records. More information about FileMaker Web publishing is available, including documentation on how this CGI works.
FormMaker: A companion applet to Claris FileMaker CGI which creates HTML forms for each of your layouts when you drag/drop a FileMaker Pro 3.0 database on it. This was a WebEdge III Hack submitted by Kevin Jundt.
FileMaker Pro 3.0v2 U.S. Updater: We fixed a few bugs and added a feature that developers said they needed. The Open step in ScriptMaker now includes an option to open a file as hidden.
ClarisWorks 4.0v4 Macintosh Updater: The 4.0v4 update provides better Macintosh Drag and Drop support, backward file conversion, and fixes several problems.

Claris FTP Server

Our FTP server supports 80 simultaneous connections but is extremely busy. If you receive the reply "User anonymous access denied - there are too many users currently on the system to accept connections," please try again later. America Online for Macintosh customers may not even see this message, but can check their FTP Log via the Window menu to see how the server responded. If you are an AOL customer, you can download directly from our AOL forum, keyword: CLARIS.

File Format, Compression and Encoding Tips

Most of our Macintosh files are compressed with Stuffit (.sit or .sea) format and are Binhexed (.hqx). They can be expanded with Stuffit Expander for Macintosh.

Most of our Windows files are in .zip format and can be expanded with Stuffit Expander for Windows or WinZip. Stuffit Expander for Windows has the added ability to decompress Macintosh .sit and .hqx formats. Both Stuffit Expander and WinZip are shareware products.

News for Windows Owners

Because we get many more templates submitted from Macintosh customers, we have more files in our Macintosh Templates library than in the Windows Templates library. However, thanks to Stuffit Expander for Windows, you can now download and unstuff files that end in .sit.hqx and open them in your Claris application for Windows.

For instance, download any FileMaker template from the FileMaker Pro templates directory with a .sit.hqx filename extension, expand it with Stuffit Expander for Windows, and add .fp3 to the end of the FileMaker filename to open it in FileMaker Pro 3.0 for Windows 95. Similiarly, to open it in FileMaker Pro 2.1 for Windows, add a .fm to the end of the filename.
